Hola, I’m Yaya, the Chief Blogging Officer at La Vida Dulce, which means “The Sweet Life” in Spanish. You may know me from my first blog Randomly Yaya, where I blogged about a lot of random topics and also things that I loved like travel, food, and fun.I was raised on the East Coast (whose hardly home, but always reppin’), but born in the Mid-West. I eat everything from fried fish and spaghetti to New England Clam Chowder and cannolis. I LOVE the New England Patriots.
Equally as important as my love for the Patriots is my love for margaritas, chicken, lamb, and lobster. However, the most important thing in my life is my relationship with Jehovah God. He keeps me grounded, humble and balanced in everything I do.
I’m addicted to traveling and actually go through plane withdrawals if I’m not hopping on a flight every couple of months. Thankfully my full-time job as an event planner/trade show manager allows me to travel and explore cities across the U.S. I am also a serial entrepreneur; which basically means I love to create new businesses or help others create a business. When one business doesn’t work, I’m thinking up the next idea. I hope to share my experiences and struggles as an entrepreneur starting and growing a business.
My life is busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. As a foodie, I not only love to try new restaurants, but also new recipes at home. You can explore my countless food boards on Pinterest here.
I am a very “keep-it-real”, super-honest-type-of-person. As I get older, I am really trying to apply the bible principle at Colossians 4:6, “Let your words always be gracious, seasoned with salt…” But that is not always easy. Prayer does some amazing things though.
Please feel free to email me any questions, comments or ideas you just want to share at firstname.lastname@example.org. Get social with me! I am on most social media platforms as YoSoyYayaR.
