Don’t Ruffle My Feathers

For the past week, I’ve been hosting a Self-Love Email Challenge and sharing corresponding blog posts. Self-love is super important to me and part of my self-care ritual. I truly believe that the way you love yourself is reflected in the relationships you have in your life. And despite my fashion mood being all black everything, I’m actually in a great place in my life. I couldn’t help but fall in love with this Contrast Ruffle Pinstripe Sleeve Top from Shein, so I order it. We live such busy and stressful lives, so it’s easy to allow other people to ruffle our feathers. This weekend, out of the blue, I got a call from an ex wanting to grab drinks and catch up. I haven’t seen this ex in years, but he holds a special place in my heart. However, when he reached out with a request to crash at my place, my…

All Black Everything

I was born in January in the Mid-West and then grew up in New England. So you would think that I loved the cold, but I actually HATE the cold weather. And snow is pretty coming down, but I usually avoid being out in it. However, it recently snowed in Maryland and I took this opportunity to get in a quick photo shoot in to show you one of my new favorite sweaters from Shein, but before I do, you have to check out my Carlos Santana boots. I’ve been in an all black everything black mood lately, so everything that I’ve ordered has been black. You’ll see the pattern in my next few fashion posts. When I received this Rolled Neck Overlap Hem Sweater, I knew I wanted to pair it with my Carlos Santana combat boots and my faux leather pleated skirt. This Overlap sweater is soft and super cute…

Loungin’ with the Loft

This post is sponsored by The Loft, but all thoughts and opinions are my own. So over the holiday break, I generally spent 85-90% of my time lounging on my parents’ couch. This year I decided I wanted my visit to be different. Instead of lounging around the house in comfy clothes 90% of the time, I would lounge around 75% of the time, LOL, and be cute while I did it. I love all things velvet and fell in love with these Curvy Velvet Skinny Jeans from the Loft. These jeans are super soft and comfortable. Thankfully, they don’t hug my belly too tight, so they are perfect for lounging around the house or going out with friends. I paired the jeans with their Lace Sleeve sweater that I had been eyeing for a while. Even though the sweater is white and you know how I feel about white,…

Traveling in Style

This post is sponsored by The Loft, but all thoughts and opinions are my own. I travel a fair amount throughout the year and when it comes to dressing for travel, I have two rules. 1. It must be comfortable enough to wear for hours. 2. It must be cute because you never know who you might run into or what you might have to do upon arrival. So therefore, I take my travel clothing very serious. I am one of those people who will plan her outfit out the night before and even lay it out if I have an early morning flight, so as not to forget anything. This may seem silly, but the ONE time, I didn’t put any thought into my travel outfit, I overslept, had to just throw on anything for the flight and then ended up having to conduct business in whatever I had…

The Perfect Travel Dress

When traveling, I always like to be cute and stylish, but comfort is KEY. So that means, most times when I travel, I am in leggings or a jumpsuit. However, every once in a while I like to dress up on the plane, so as soon as I land, I can hit the ground running. And the first time I put on a Karina  Dress, I knew I had found the perfect travel dress. Karina  Dress has several patterns and colors, but I decided to go with a simple black printed dress called the Ruby Dress – in Black Pearl. I also love the way it hugs my curves and is flowy and the way the dress is cut, it will look good on any shape. Here’s why this is the perfect travel dress, not only is it comfortable, but its also WRINKLE FREE. So whether you wear it on the…
