Each month I share my goals as a way to motivate myself to get things done and stay accountable. Here’s last month’s recap and the next month’s set of goals for my blog, and my personal life.
Happy April! So March was a little quiet on the blog and here’s why. March marked my 6 month anniversary at my new job and also the date of my very first event at the company where I was going to be the lead organizer/planner. I spent a majority of the month planning and prepping for the event. March was also busy on the blogging front with events and I was in my first fashion show with Eloquii. You guys know how much I love Eloquii, so it was an honor to be part of their fashion show. I actually took a red-eye home from my event in San Diego, so I could make it to the show to participate.
April will be just as busy as March because I have a lot of exciting events happening with the District Queens. First up is a podcast we are recording with the local radio station 93.9 WKYS. When the link is available for the podcast, I’ll be sure to share. We’re also co-hosting a brunch panel with the District of Curves and we’ll be talking all things body confidence. I started a new series on the blog about Creating New Habits and will continue the series for the month of April. Thursday, I’ll be talking about the relationship between habits and willpower. But starting next week, you can expect more from this series every Monday, as part of my Motivational Monday theme. This series is leading up to a couple challenges I will be starting later this month involving your morning and evening routines. The way we start the day has a major impact on how our day plays out and the way we end our day often dictates how we will rest that night. Tuesdays will still be TASTY and I’ll be sharing a great recipe every week. And FINALLY, you will be seeing more of my personal fashion on the blog. I’ve finally started scheduling personal shoots where I can capture my personal fashion and I’ve started working with brands to showcase their clothing, so on Wednesdays, you can expect a new fashion post from me.
I didn’t make any goals last month because I knew I was going to be super busy with work, so I’ll be making up for that this year. Here are my goals for this month.
Workout at least three times a week.
Getting back to a fitness routine is important to me. My goal is to work out at least three times a week and to make sure it happens, I’ll be scheduling the time on my calendar so I don’t schedule any meetings during my “gym time”.
No fries for the next 30 days.
You guys know I LOVE fries. But now that I have an air fryer, it has become WAY too easy to make fries at home. I find myself eating fries a LOT more. And with summer around the corner, I need to lay off the fries, so I am taking them out of my diet for the next 30 days.
Pitch three companies every week of this month.
I really want to get better at pitching to companies and expand my portfolio and work with more brands, so my goal is to pitch at least three companies every week of the month.
Since it’s Springtime an I’m in the mood to get some spring cleaning done, I’ll be starting a 30-Day Challenge for Organizing Your Home later this month as well. I know 30 days sounds like a lot, but no worries, this challenge won’t take up a lot of time. I’ll be providing quick tips that will take no more than 5 minutes to read and it’s up to you to determine how long the task will actually take to complete.
