This post is sponsored by The Loft, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I travel a fair amount throughout the year and when it comes to dressing for travel, I have two rules. 1. It must be comfortable enough to wear for hours. 2. It must be cute because you never know who you might run into or what you might have to do upon arrival.

So therefore, I take my travel clothing very serious. I am one of those people who will plan her outfit out the night before and even lay it out if I have an early morning flight, so as not to forget anything. This may seem silly, but the ONE time, I didn’t put any thought into my travel outfit, I overslept, had to just throw on anything for the flight and then ended up having to conduct business in whatever I had chosen to wear that morning. So I vowed, “NEVER AGAIN!”. I have a routine, it works and I’m sticking to it.

Now I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I still travel during this time to visit my family. My company closes the week between Christmas and New Years, so it’s the perfect time to visit with my friends and family. I always debate between flying down South or driving, because it’s only a 6-hour drive. Initially I had planned to fly and of course, I wanted to be cute. So I stopped by the Loft in Old Town Alexandria to find the perfect travel outfit.  And when I put on their reversible poncho with faux leather leggings, I knew this was the outfit. This is totally a “Yaya Outfit”. I love the fashionable style of the leggings, and the poncho is great because it will keep you warm on the plane and it’s reversible, so if spill anything on one side, I can just flip it over. LOL

The poncho I picked out is currently sold out online, but you can also check out these color options here and here. I loved the poncho so much, I really wanted the blue and red poncho as well. And now that it’s 50% off, I am tempted to add it to my cart.

I got the poncho in a medium/large and the leggings are an XL. I probably should have gotten the leggings in a Large , but the store didn’t have them in stock and I really wanted them, so I scooped up the XL. So if you wear a 14 like me, you can go between the large or XL if you want a little more room.

If you love traveling in style like me, I highly recommend you stop by the Loft and check out what they have currently in the store.  I LOVE a good sale and everything is currently 60% off.

Now if you follow my Instagram stories, you know that I decided to drive to North Carolina instead of flying. So instead of wearing my poncho and leggings for the 6 hour car ride, I opted for this SOFT Drawstring Cowl Neck Dress from the Lou & Gray collection from The Loft. Two things sold me on this dress, 1. Its SUPER soft and 2. It has pockets. I love a dress with pockets and the fact that it’s soft means I was comfortable for my 6-hour drive. The Cowl neck Dress is currently on sale as well for 50% off which makes it $25.

So don’t walk, RUN to The Loft now to take advantage of their sale before the holidays are over.
